John hails from Woodbridge, Virginia.  He attended George Mason University, where he majored in Theater and appeared in productions of The Odd Couple, Vagina Monologues, and Dangerous Liaisons.

In 2004 he was cast as Henry "Coop" Bradshaw on Guiding Light where he remained until 2009.  When Guiding Light was canceled John was cast in the role of Chance on Young and the Restless where he remained off and on until 2012.  His television appearances include Dawson' Creek, One Tree Hill, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and The Book Of Daniel.

John grew up in a strong military family and today, has traded in his acting shoes for combat boots.  Just like his Y&R counterpart, Driscoll enlisted in the United States military in 2012 and has recently returned home after thirteen months of training.   John earned his Associates of Applied Science degree through the U.S. Army and is currently completing his undergraduate degree with a Bachelors of Science in Information Technology.  He is currently stationed outside of the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area.

John has been involved with various charitable organizations and continues to participate in many events and activities. Whether raising awareness and contributions for “Autism”, participating in extreme sports on behalf of the “Wounded Warrior Project”, or working with “CAUSE” to assist in the care and rehabilitation of servicemen and women recently returned home from overseas due to medical maladies, John continues to make volunteering and service an important part of his life.  We are grateful to have him back at Soapfest to help us raise funds for charity while reconnecting with some of his GL and Y&R pals.
